With our products, system solutions and services for windows and doors, we offer everything from a single source in order to develop liveable buildings together with our customers. Our focus is on the digital networking of building technology.
GEZE employs around 1,100 people at its main site in Leonberg, just outside Stuttgart. This is the where our international headquarters are located, including development, production, distribution and administration. We also have six branches in Germany.

Our story has promised excitement from the outset. The master turner Georg Friedrich Vöster, the mechanic Max Wessinger and the businessman Friedrich Carl Bauer first founded their own companies in different locations – until joining forces and laying the foundation stone for GEZE. A ground-breaking decision and the beginning of a long success story: because today – more than 160 years later – we are a globally active family business whose innovative solutions make buildings more comfortable.
We are proud of the history and achievements of our company and its employees. Our success and our growth are based on principles that we trust in, but which we also continually question – and further develop.

Sustainability is a focus area of the future and is one of our corporate guiding principles. Sustainability characterize our day-to-day activities in all areas – both with regard to our production processes and our products. This awareness is also reflected in our many years of membership of the DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council).

GEZE has stood for longevity from its very beginnings. As a family business, our focus is on generating sustainable returns rather than maximising profits in the short-term which is why all our internal production processes are committed to the concept of sustainability.
The sustainability of our products is already reflected in their longevity. Due to the large proportion of metallic raw materials, the products are ideal for recycling - and are therefore particularly environmentally friendly. They also make a valuable contribution to energy-saving construction. For example, automatic door systems reduce the loss of hot or cold air through the door opening and eliminate the need for energy-consuming air conditioning systems.
Many of our products meet the sustainability criteria of the most important international Green Building assessment systems (German Sustainable Building Council [DGNB] and LEED criteria). We voluntarily make this information transparent via environmental product declarations (EPDs) for our products. For example, our TS 4000 and 5000 door closer systems, the ECdrive and Powerturn door drives as well as products such as the OL 90 N fanlight opener and our TSA 325 NT revolving door system meet stringent demands.
Our products can be found in the DGNB Navigator and greenbuildingproducts.eu online databases, along with the respective certificates. The certificates certify the number of points with which a GEZE product can contribute to the successful DGNB or LEED certification of a building, so supporting our customers in the successful Green Building certification process.

As an active member of the Institut für Bauen und Umwelt e.V. (Institute for Building and Environment -IBU) and of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), we have always supported sustainable building. As a company that has enshrined sustainable action as a corporate guideline, and whose products make an active contribution to energy-efficient construction with its products, membership of the DGNB goes without saying.
The German Sustainable Building Council understands sustainability as the obligation of society as a whole to assume responsibility for current problems such as climate change and resource scarcity. Sustainable building can make a key contribution to this. According to the Federal Environment Ministry, around one third of resource consumption in Germany is caused by buildings.
